New Year Resolutions?!

Ahoy there! 

I know it’s been a while and it may have appeared that I had reneged on my resolution to update this blog more often this year, but I’ve been doing a bit of soul searching in really deciding and focusing on what I want to get out of this year and also the direction I want to take with this blog. 

Originally, I wanted it to be fashion focused but I quickly realised that outfit posts were expensive to maintain and my wardrobe just didn’t cater enough designer or ‘vintage’ pieces to make outfit posts blog-worthy. Not to mention I didn’t think I could churn out creative outfit posts on a regular basis. All in all, I realised and finally accepted that fashion blogging wasn’t ‘me’. 

So after really thinking about what I wanted and the things that interest me and reflect who I am, I’ve decided to re-direct my blog to a category I like to call “self-investing”. In other words, a lifestyle blog dedicated to things that will help me (and you!) to become the best version of ourselves. (I did mention I did a lot of soul searching?)This is not to say that I have turned my back on the fashion-o-sphere, but instead of fashion being the focus of the blog, it will now be a part of it.

I hope you’ll all join me on this new direction I’m taking with my blog and that it’ll feature more of the things which are more ‘me’ rather than what I want to be considered as ‘me’.

Apologises I'm a few hours late but my sentiments remain the same -wishing everyone a joyous, healthy and successful 2012!

Soloing in Hong Kong at the moment. Unfortunately I haven't taken any photos because:

•  my camera's shit and I'm embarassed about using it
•  I keep forgetting to take my camera out with me
• I don't have a laptop to post from
•  I haven't found anything worth taking apart from the obligatory blog shots of random trees; well dressed strangers; sunsets and clouds
• I feel like a loser taking photos of myself.
• I'm lazy.

BUT.............

I promise that '12 will be different!!!!! Trust me.

I'm not usually a resolution maker but for the 295 readers this blog has had this year (I know, I can't believe it either), I promise to dedicate a lot more time posting, reviewing, posing, cross-dressing, and courting your visual senses for your enjoyment. I just want to make you happy.

Thank you for those 30 secs your spared me when you thought you had the web page you wanted but realised it was really because you had made a typo; thank you for not posting nasty comments even though you may have detested everything about me and thank you for making my day when I checked my stats to find that a person in Kazakhstan had viewed my blog.

Will be avoiding avian flu for the next few days. Have you read the news?

Hi Ya'll,

Apologises for going M.I.A on you all, I've truly missed you! (yes, really). Semester 2 and its cousins, assignments and exams, have made my last month a hellish experience, like all family experiences. Unfortunately, the worst has yet to come so I will be retreating back into study hibernation because I am the nerd I am. I will do my best to update you lovely people with snippets of my no life because I know you care about me. (PLEASE LOVE ME!!! SOMEBODY!!! ANYBODY!!!!!!!!)

Anyways, I had my 21st paartay last Saturday with the lovely Karmo whose a day older than me. I think the most exciting part was being able to use those red plastic cups all you American readers use in your frat parties. Yeah, I have high ambitions in life.

Hi friends,

Guess what? I went to Seoul.................................Ria

Quick lunch today at named restaurant. Too poor to fly out to sample directly from Korea I'm afraid however Seoul Ria did satisfy my kimchi kravings.

Oh yes, this bimbap did hit the spot.

And that's the extent of my review. Alright, it was much more than that. Yum Yum. Apologies peeps, I'm no good at reviewing food - I just eat it and my stomach does the appreciation.
